As part of a new program to increase interaction between faculty and students, the University has named its first 10 non-residential Faculty Advising Fellows.
Marion Orr will become director of Brown’s Taubman Center for Public Policy and American Institutions on July 1, succeeding Darrell M. West, who will leave the University on June 30.
Applied mathematician David Mumford was in Israel in late May to receive the prestigious Wolf Award; he immediately made a philanthropic gift of his prize money. Next month he’s headed to London for formal admission into the Royal Society.
